Frequently Asked Questions

I hope to answer most of your questions below. Please use the enquiries form if you cannot find the answer to your question.

How do I prepare for my consultation?

For lifestyle medicine patients, before your scheduled appointment, I will send you a health questionnaire to fill out. For respiratory patients, we’ll go through things together.

To get the most out of your consultation, if you have any relevant referral letters or test results that you feel might be helpful, please bring them with you to our consultation.

Who is this service appropriate for?

Adults, aged 18+.

Are the consultations face to face or remote?

Both options are available.

I usually prefer to meet you in person the first time round, especially if you have any active respiratory complaints, as it allows me to perform a clinical examination.

Can I cancel my appointment?

I understand that there are times when you cannot make your appointment and have to cancel. Please let me know as soon as possible.

To avoid a cancellation fee please provide me with 24 hours’ notice.

Will I continue to see my own doctors?

My typical practice is to establish a dialogue with your doctor (with your consent) to raise any concerns, ask for any further testing, or to give updates. I’m also happy to refer you to a specialist if needed.

Is this consultation covered by my private medical insurance?

Coverage depends on the service you’re looking for, and your particular insurance plan and/or provider. Please ask about this when you book your appointment.

Is one consultation enough?

If you have a short-term complaint that requires quick intervention, or you’d like basic advice, then a single consultation might be enough.

However, if you require investigations, treatment, or to achieve a lasting positive lifestyle change, then several consultations may be necessary.
